Talent Scale was started by Kim Atherton. Kim started her career as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, working with senior leaders in more than 40 countries, specialising in leadership assessment, development and culture change.
In 2012, Kim joined OVO energy as Chief People Officer overseeing the rapid growth from start up to unicorn and from 50-2000 employees. She was responsible for the end to end people strategy, including hiring the exec team and board, organisational design, culture and engagement. She took the organisation from 172nd to top 10 in the Sunday Times best places to work whilst leading a full organisational transformation from silo based functions to multi disciplinary product led teams.
Most recently Kim experienced the sharp end of the start-up world when she founded Just3Things, a B2B SaaS platform in the goal setting space (OKRs). She helped clients including Nat West Group, Deloitte and Domestic & General to clearly articulate their priority outcome based goals and to cascade these to team level, ensuring full transparency and alignment throughout.
Kim is currently co-authoring a book, the second in the best selling Sooner Safer Happier series on Organising for Outcomes, around how incentives, people processes and more need to shift to ensure that businesses can make the transition to product led organisations which deliver real value at speed.
